Make Your Own Frozen Fruit Bars!

With nursing all the time, I was a big-time snacker and I needed to get something healthier than the candy I keep finding in front of me. For me, the snack needs to taste good and be relatively easy to throw together because I simply don’t have a lot of time to go big. I also wanted something that would curb some of these sweet cravings I’m always experiencing! These yogurt fruit bars seems like the perfect idea for me!

Here’s all you need:

Freezer

Any fruit you like

Yogurt (I prefer vanilla!)

Popsicle molds

OR

Wax or parchment paper

Cookie sheet

Directions:

If you have popsicle molds, put a little bit of fruit inside of each one. Then, scoop some yogurt on top. Alternate between spoonfuls of yogurt and fruit until they are full. Tap them to be sure that all of the bubbles are filled in.

Even if you don’t have popsicle molds, you can still make frozen fruit bars! Using your cookie sheet and parchment paper, follow these steps:

Cover the cookie sheet with the paper.

Scatter the fruit on the tray and pour the yogurt over it as evenly as possible.

Freeze it, then break it up into pieces. Store it in your freezer in a zipper bag! You can put popsicle sticks in, spaced out to make it a little easier to eat! If you do that, though, you’ll need to be very careful when you break it up! A pizza cutter may make the process easier.

  5. These are a nice idea, and I have several pop molds, and now that summer is here, this is a good one to try!
