The 90s were the best, weren’t they? I may be biased because those are my treasured childhood years. We all had little digital pet keychains that we brought with us everywhere. Everybody had one of those obnoxious fuzzy gremlin-looking toys that repeated everything you said. White eyeliner was all the rage and one of my very first concerts was that of a popular boy band.
“I Do (Cherish You)” by 98 Degrees was the song I dedicated to every single crush. I knew every word and I belt it out like I was one of the guys, even though I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Their Christmas CD was by far my favorite out of all of the boy bands. The songs had more substance than the others, I stand firmly by that. “This Gift” was such a beautiful song! I honestly don’t remember who my favorite was because they were all pretty adorable.
Why am I going on about things from decades ago? 98 Degrees is reuniting with a bunch of our favorites from the 90s! I know that my fellow twenty-somethings are going to love a girls night out to relive those years, dancing with your friends like you’re driving your first car again, blasting your favorite hits!
The My2k Tour features 98 Degrees, of course, as well as Ryan Cabrera, Dream, and O-Town, bands that you probably rushed home from school to catch on TRL once upon a time. Those of you who are not from our time period, TRL was a show hosted by Carson Daly on MTV where they counted down the best music videos every weekday. My sister was a huge Ryan Cabrera fan and my childhood best friend had O-Town posters all over her room. Dream’s “He Loves U Not” was probably stuck in your head on many occasions, it’s very catchy.
Here’s a sneak peek of what you’re in for with the My2k Tour:
This fab collection of artists from your heyday is touring all over the country, so be sure to check out their tour dates. Since Atlantic City’s practically in my backyard, I’ll be heading to the My2k show on Friday, August 12th at Boardwalk Hall. You may or may not see me singing along with all of my favorite jams…

Because of You by 98 Degrees
Because of you
I Do (Cherish You) – 98 Degrees
Invisible man
So excited for this tour!
I loved because of you by 98° but also love alot of their songs from the cd they released 2 years ago .
For the past 18 years my favorite 98 degrees song has been Still off their 98 degrees and rising album. From the first time I heard it at the age of 12 I fell head over heels in love with the lyrics. It’s such a beautiful song talking about being so in love with someone that no matter what said love will not falter. Though many prefer “I Do” an ideal wedding song, I have personally always thought Still makes the perfect choice as I believe it to be a proclamation of true and never ending love.
