Four pregnancies and three spellings later, my youngest daughter finally got the name that my husband spent years pushing for. It’s an astonishingly beautiful and unique name, but she’ll definitely never find it on those personalized keychains at amusement parks. As a mother of four little girls, I was quite ecstatic to hear about the new book, Disney’s Dream Big, Princess. All of my children (and Mommy and Daddy!) are huge Disney fans so I knew that regardless which child I chose to receive this book, they were going to love it. Of course, I ended up choosing my youngest, the aforementioned most uniquely named little girl.

She loves having stories read to her, even though I’m not sure that she knows yet what they’re about. I think that by the time she is old enough, this will be her favorite book. My other children got to have the sneak peek of this book, since we’ve decided that it will make the perfect Christmas gift for the baby. They love the stories within and have begged that we say it’s a present from them (I think they think that means they will get partial claim to it, haha!). Put Me in the Story’s Disney’s Dream Big, Princess talks about each princess’ story and includes pictures of her and engaging questions to really get your child thinking like a princess!

There are some adorable activities within Disney’s Dream Big, Princess also. Princess Aurora leaves a space for you to talk about your favorite songs and Belle your favorite books. Merida wants to know about the times that you were brave! There’s just so much for your little one to do and I feel like it encourages reading because they will want to interact with their favorite princesses.

It’s easy enough to read that my first and third graders didn’t have much trouble and were both interested in each story and activity. They are still trying to decide who will get to read first to the baby. I feel like this is such a good book for the whole family, my girls are just so happy about it.

I’m not surprised that this is such a fun book because I always love Put Me in the Story and Disney but what a wonderful collaboration! If you’re getting a Christmas gift for a little girl this year, I have to say that I highly recommend this sweet, personalized book!

  49. Anytime you can give a gift to a child that lets them know how special they are and how much they are loved you are making an important statement to that girl or boy about the value of other people. This is a great way to let any child know they are special.
