For Whom The Bells Toll – QMT Windchimes Rings True + GIVEAWAY! Ends 3/29

quirky review disc

Here I sit on my front deck, listening to the breeze rolling through the branches of the trees. More mellowing yet is the sound of the bells ringing lightly behind me. Actually, they’re not bells at all. That sound is coming from the beautiful Corinthian Bells that I received from QMT Windchimes.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted wind chimes to create more of that “white-picket fence” feel to our home. Not just any wind chimes, I’ve always been very particular about that. The tiny wind chimes that I see in store seem to make more of a cling-cling noise that sounds like cheap metal banging together. I wanted to hear the soothing sounds of bamboo or a sturdy metal, something like the sound of a steel drum. I found exactly that when I found QMT Windchimes. Every wind chime they make is hand tuned for a specific sound, and they sound amazing!

QMT Windchimes carries chimes of various sizes and materials, giving off such different sounds from one another. How do I know this? Well, they have sound bytes all over their site, so you can be certain that the set of chimes you like really is the one! I listened to every single wind chime on the site, noting how the diameter of the same material could have such an impact on the sound. While I found many favorites, I finally settled on the 36″ wind chimes from the Corinthian Bells collection. These are aluminum tubes, powder coated to match the dome and wind sail. There are ten sizes available in this collection and around six color choices per wind chime. I chose the beautiful pantina green for no other reason than I thought it was such a lovely color.

I was so ecstatic when they got here that I wasted absolutely no time getting them up. The previous owners hung a bunch of potted plants on the front porch so there were strong hooks still up there. I’m certainly more of a wind chimes gal than a potted plant one so I put my gorgeous wind chimes right into that space!

They’ve held up through massive windstorms, snow, and rain, without a single scratch or mark. The front of my house was so boring with no landscaping to speak of. Our 36″ Corinthian Bells wind chimes gives such a pretty look and feel to the front of my home, it’s so relaxing. I feel as though I got exactly that relaxing, “home” feel that I was going for.

They’re also a company I could get behind.  They use American made raw materials from American Lumber and they give back to the community in many ways.  For example, they’ve supported numerous charitable organizations like The Fisher House, Ronald McDonald House, Doctors Without Borders, and a variety of others! They switch to a different charity every month, and it’s refreshing to see a company so willing to help out!
