quirky review disc

With my phone full of more than seven-thousand pictures, it’s safe to say that I enjoy taking photos. Almost all of my pictures are of my family, recording special trips, milestones, holidays, moments that I want to remember forever. I could leave all of the images on my SD cards sitting in a drawer forever, hoping that the cards don’t become obsolete or I could do something fun and artsy to display them.

Stampin’ Up is easily my favorite approach to the art of photo sharing. The album pages are like an outline for scrapbooking, allowing for multiple card sizes and pictures to be filled in. Project Life offers a variety of themes that apply perfectly to the different occasions you may be cataloging. I chose the “Moments Like These” collection so I could put together an album of my husband and I for our anniversary. This time around, I noticed that the card collection have a list of colors that coordinate with them to help in choosing ink pads. The 2015-2017 Color Classic Stampin’ Pads included a lot of the right colors so I thought that was perfect!

For a Stampin’ Up stamp set that would work with my idea, I took a look at the new Occasions catalog. The catalog is filled with awesome products for all kinds of purposes: crafts, seasonal occasions, holiday cards, tags, and more! The Occasions stamps have so many appealing options like the ones intended for ‘Thank You’ cards or Easter celebrations. I was particualrly drawn to the ‘Sealed With Love’ stamp set, which was useful for my Valentine’s Day gift for my husband but also for decorating the pages of this anniversary album!

These stamps are great for making your own cards, sealing letters, and adding accents with loving sayings on your projects. They come in a case similar to a DVD case and you place each stamp on a block, then put it right back into its nifty little case.

The card collections are just as organized, coming in a box that holds the set as well as some of your crafting accessories. I have multiple collections at this point so I have them all labeled, some containing journaling pens, others a small pair of scissors. I feel like the creators of Stampin’ Up know exactly what busy moms need to be able to scrapbook in the midst of all the chaos!

My anniversary scrapbook was made so simply! I cut my photos down to size and slid them into the pockets. The card collection came with quotes, cards that had space for describing the photo or location, even a romantic list of favorite things about him. This particular collection had stickers and tiny embellishments also. I feel like the cards are essential, making the difference between a plain photo album and an actual scrapbook.

I filled this album with goofy pictures, pictures from our previous anniversaries and our first date. I filled it with pictures of our beautiful baptism and vow renewal ceremonies. Just flipping through the pages of this scrapbook, you see so much fun and so much love. My husband isn’t the type of guy to go creating a book like this himself but I can tell you that he will feel the sentiment and it’s the kind of thing that I hope our children will save, especially in a world where everything is digital. For busy lives, Stampin’ Up is the only choice and that’s why I’m obsessed. Thanks to Stampin’ Up for helping me make this gorgeous keepsake for my anniversary.
