SodaStream Might Be Saving My Life

Several years ago now, I started to get this random central pain in my stomach/chest area. One doctor insisted that it was acid reflux but that diagnosis just didn’t feel right and the medication I was told to take wasn’t doing the trick. Then, the pain subsided for nearly a year and returned suddenly. I saw a different doctor this time who had determined that it was gallbladder pain despite the fact that none of my symptoms coincided with this. Afraid of surgery, I started to pay attention to what I was consuming. I’m not sure how I didn’t notice it before but what was I doing on an almost regular basis and especially before my pains would begin? Soda.

So I researched some of the side effects of the junk that’s in soda. I don’t think I need to share the resources here, you can find it anywhere! I felt crummy after drinking them and when I tried to drink caffeine free or diet sodas, I felt light-headed and woozy. Something in my body was just not agreeing with these drinks so I had to take a break from them altogether. Until my four-year wedding anniversary…

We always do the traditional gifts and the fourth year was fruits, flowers, or appliances. On our anniversary, I came into the house and on the table was a vase of beautiful roses and…a SodaStream complete with three bottles of flavoring! It said right on the front of the box that there was no aspartame or high-fructose corn syrup. Could I finally have some soda again?!

The SodaStream was really simple to put together and use. More importantly, my soda tasted wonderful! Root beer and Cola have been my favorites, they tasted exactly like a name-brand I’d buy in-store. I love that when I’m in the mood for soda, boom! There’s some in the cabinet. I no longer feel so addicted to soda (related? hmm…) and now I can drink my SodaStream sodas without any body problems whatsoever.

The kids are also thrilled because they’re finally allowed to try soda! I let them try some of the carbonated juices and they “feel like a big people” plus, they love the taste!

I highly recommend SodaStream to any of you soda or carbonated beverage people out there. It’s a really refreshing way to kick the junk in regular soda and I think it’s saving my life!

They sell SodaStream at your local retail stores or you can check the SodaStream website to see everything they offer, like the huge list of flavors!
