My kids are some of the craftiest kids I know. I think it’s because their mom is so into it but especially my oldest is all about creating things and she’s really got a knack for it. She comes to me with trash that has been turned into treasure, beautiful artwork, and re-fashioned clothing and accessories regularly. Orb Factory’s Imaginista kits were absolutely made for little girls like mine!
We received the Orb Factory Imaginista Pixel Art Jewelry and Imaginista Lovely Lace Journal. My daughter was absolutely ecstatic as soon as she saw the boxes. She knew that her creative side was about to be unleashed! She decided to do the Lovely Lace Journal first because she loves to write and draw and she was ecstatic about being able to create her own book! With the Imaginista Lovely Lace Journal, you get bows, jewels, lace, stickers, and even these adorable little crochet flowers.
My personal favorite detail in the Imaginista Lovely Lace Journal was probably the gorgeous roses but my daughter loved the Eiffel Tower and heart charms to dangle from the edge of the book. I told her that she could even use it as a bookmark with where she put it. She was occupied and focused for such a long time trying to make her journal absolutely perfect. She bedazzled the front and back with all of her favorites. She even put jewels on several of the pages while telling me, “Mommy, if I have leftovers you can have them for crafting!” My little girl was so thrilled with her new journal that she created herself.
The Imaginista Pixel Art Jewelry ended up being fun for the whole family! It’s recommended for ages 8 and up, but I didn’t mind supervising while the kids created whatever they felt like. With this craft kit, you put colorful sparkling pyramid jewels onto various shapes to create necklaces, keychains, or whatever you like. I let each of the kids choose a shape, dumped out the jewels into the box, and let them loose! Some of the kids wanted to use the color stencil on the instruction sheet but others wanted to just free-hand their design and colors, both perfectly cool ways to do it!
My oldest daughter created a perfect little cupcake, while my son just sprinkled jewels all over his shape in an abstract kind of way! Even I made a little anchor to use as a keychain for myself! My middle daughter adorned a rainbow with the jewels and then put it on a necklace that she’s now wearing at every waking moment. They worked together, helping each other and taking turns with colors. It was so sweet!
I think that these kits are the perfect gift for any imaginative child and it’s definitely something I would buy, whether for my own children or others. Imaginista will not only cure your child’s boredom but exercise their imagination and creativity. They can display their beautiful works of art and feel proud of themselves for their unique creations!
