Somehow it’s already almost time for the littlest lady to be practicing sitting up. My kids usually do this around five months and I love to work on it with them. It’s usually not without many bumps to the head though. If I want to try to let them do it unsupported, I can surround them with pillows but every time I’ve done that, they manage to create a space been the pillows and fall right there. We’ve been using it as just a mat in general, for tummy time and playing too. It’s great for traveling because it folds up really easily. Using straps and two big buttons, you can fold the Tipsy Baby into a triangular shape that makes it much better to bring along. It’s a good size (40″ diameter X 1″ thick with 18″ diameter sitting area) when it’s opened up so being able to fold it for storage is definitely preferred for me! When we aren’t using it, we fold it up and put it in the corner of the living room. Also, if your kids are messy like all of mine, you’ll be happy to know that there is a covered zipper where you can remove the slip cover to wash it!
