I recently had the opportunity to use Chalkola markers. Now, when you hear the word “chalk,” you probably think about the small, round, messy sticks from elementary school. I’m sure you know the type. I’m talking about the ones that got dust everywhere, made my clothes filthy, and left my fingertips feeling clammy and dry. Well the makers of Chalkola markers are changing the game.
Today I received a set of Chalkola Platinum Series markers. They have a large 15mm jumbo tip. These are the first items I am going to review. When I read the packaging, I was surprised by all the different ways you can use them. Not only are they good for chalkboards, but you can use them on any non porous surface like car and home windows, wine glasses, whiteboards, plastic, etc. I decided to use the red jumbo marker to make a heart on my front door. You need to shake them well with the cap in and upright, for 30 seconds. Next, press the tip down and go back and forth in a straight line to quickly get the ink flowing. Now you’re ready to use your markers!
When I pressed down to make my heart, I thought a lot of “ink” came out at once. You may have to practice a little bit using the jumbo ones in order to get used to the tip. Now that I messed up on my heart I had to clean it up. The package stated that all I needed was a damp cloth, or some window cleaner. I sprayed some window cleaner and the product wiped clean with ease. After I was done with the clean up, there were no traces of red marker anywhere. There were no smudges, streaks, or scuff marks to be seen! I was amazed!
Next up on my hit list was a set of Chalkola premium wet wipe chalkboard markers. It came with ten chalk pens of varying colors and six metallic markers. I found these were the best fit for me. They are easier to hold and write with considering they are smaller. Once I began using them I noticed the colors were bright, bold and vibrant. The metallic markers didn’t need prepping of any kind. As soon as the cap came off, they were bright and shiny. These markers flowed smoothly and worked wonderful on both the glass window and upon the chalkboard. I can’t wait to use this product on more surfaces and on different projects!
I would definitely recommend Chalkola markers. Whether you’re a teacher looking to brighten your lessons, a child looking to color, or a spouse hoping to leave love notes, these markers will serve their purpose! The simplicity and effortlessness is what really sets them apart from traditional chalk and dry erase markers.
