Every year, my kid write their letters to Santa and tell him how their behavior has been and what they want. Sometimes they’re generic, like “a doll” and “craft stuff” and it leaves a lot of room for us to get creative. I don’t always have ideas for what they want and I LOVE surprising them with things that are new and unique! The team has had a blast this year putting together some of the most entertaining, adorable, new gift ideas for kids!

Crayola Scribble Scrubbie Pets – $19.99
For your kids who are just dying to color on anything but paper!
The Crayola Scribble Scrubbie Pets are cute little animals that kids can color on and then wash off with the accompanying toy tub! Rinse and repeat! My kids get tired of coloring on paper and always want to color on their toys so this is a really good option for us!
The hook: I love that they’re reusable. Color them red and green for Christmas and then do some pink polka dots. It’s a great way for the little ones to learn their colors!
TimTimTom Bilingual Personalized Books – $38.99

TimTimTom books are multilingual books personalized specifically for the children you’re shopping for! Input the child’s name and choose in which language(s) you’d like the story. The adorable story will be written in both languages with beautiful illustrations.
The hook: Anything that encourages learning multiple languages has my vote but I was particularly attracted to how these stories were written and how cute they all are. We got the Swan Lake ballet book for my niece who is half-Colombian and I’ve been working on teaching Spanish too! Tía Tiffany loves her little sobrina!
Disney Doorables Mega Stack Playset – $19.99
For the Disney lovers who love collecting and unboxing!
Unboxing is all the rage right now so when I came upon small packs of Disney Doorables in store, I bought a huge stack of them for my kids (and ME!) because they are just so sweet with their big eyes. They have little blind boxes and mini playsets but the Disney Doorables Mega Stack Playset includes some of the most popular Disney character scenes all in one! This is a collection that I can totally get on board with!
The hook: The first hook is obviously the pretty Disney factor but the Mega Stack Playset is a lot of fun in small playset that won’t take up half of my house like the huge dollhouses we’ve tried to have in the past! I think any parent can appreciate that aspect!
Mermaid Pillow Company – $19.99+
For anyone who enjoys elegant, themed pillows with sparkle!
The Mermaid Pillow Company creates charming, smooth velvet designs featuring inspirational sayings and colorful imagery. On the flip side of that cozy pillow is a line of amazing, shimmery color-changing sequins! Stunning mermaids telling you to “IMAGINE” and handsome dinosaurs that say “discover” make any boring bed a world of imagination! The quality of these pillows is outstanding and I love them, especially that they currently offer name personalization. There are oodles of different designs available too!
The hook: The zen feeling that comes from gliding your hands across the sequins got my attention. A child experiencing nervousness, stress, or just wants to relax will really enjoy snuggling with these pillows! (Even I do!)
Operation: The Nightmare Before Christmas (USAopoly) – $38
For anyone who enjoys the family classic, Operation, or the Halloween/Christmas spectacular, The Nightmare Before Christmas!

USAopoly, creator of awesome games and reinventor of classic ones, brings us this twist on Operation featuring Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas! Get the bats and spiders out of creepy Oogie Boogie without setting off the green light and Oogie’s voice!

The 3Doodler is a 3D printing pen that uses low-heat to form non-toxic plastic into all kinds of amazing creations. Slide colored pieces of plastic (included in the set) and draw to your heart’s content! The set includes 12 projects with step-by-step instructions and this one has a variety but you can also purchase specific sets, like the Hexbug or Architecture.

Doc McStuffins Pet Rescue Mobile Clinic – $39.84
For animal lovers and your favorite Doc McStuffins fans!
We love Doc McStuffins because it’s an adorable, motivating show for any young child. The Doc McStuffins Pet Rescue Mobile Clinic is a portable pet rescue clinic for your little aspiring Docs. It comes with all kinds of fun medical tools and accessories plus lights and sounds! Kids can do x-rays, locate toy pets in need, and bring the clinic anywhere they go!
The hook: Mainly, we love it because of Doc McStuffins but the clinic itself is so entertaining and my toddler is thrilled that she can fold it up and pull it with her like a little suitcase.
Edushape Shapes ‘N Shadows – $24.99
For kids who love shadow puppets and putting on shows!
The Shapes ‘N Shadows theater has 24 pieces that can be interlocked in all kinds of ways to make different shadow creatures. Place a flashlight or lamp behind the theater to allow the light to project the shadows on the screen. It’s recommended for ages 3 and up but I’d play with it with any kids because it’s all about what you do with it! We’re all about putting on puppet shows here!
The hook: It’s a twist on the oldest activity in the book: shadow puppets!
Harry Potter Magical Beasts Game (Pressman) – $17.45
For the ones who love adventure and board games!
Move through the grounds of Hogwarts and collect clues to track down creatures. The objective is to get all four cards for a magical beast, capturing it! There will be clues and elements along the way to help you. Play it with two to four people, ages 8 and up. You don’t even need a Harry Potter knowledge but of course, we Harry Potters lovers love it!
The hook: We love the excitement of chasing down mythical creatures!
Harry Potter Tri-Wizard Maze (Pressman) – $9.95
For just about any kid on game night!
The Harry Potter Tri-Wizard Maze actually reminds me a little bit of a classic game we played as kids but the Harry Potter theme makes it way more awesome! It’s basic enough that the young kids can play! Just roll the die by popping the popper in the center of the game. Move ahead and try to get the Tri-Wizard cup but watch out for the traps along the way! This would have to be my pick especially for a kid’s first game night!
The hook: It’s easy for everyone to understand and play, plus, Harry Potter points!
We have no tried any of these toys out. We are on a tight budget. My daughter lives crafts and I think she would really like the the Crayola Scribble Scrubbie pets and the 3Doodle. My two old boys would also love the 3Doodle. My oldest son love the nightmare before Christmas and Harry Potter. And the baby of the family (he is 3) would really love the crayola light board and Doc McStuffins pet rescue. These all look so fun!!
This is a really good list! My 3 year old daughter has been begging me for the Doc McStuffins Pet Rescue Mobile Clinic ever since she saw it at Target. I like that you are able to fold it up and it also has some lights and sounds to make it fun. Both my daughters would also enjoy the Disney Doorables Mega Stack Playset. It’s priced at a great value. I also think they would enjoy the Crayola Scribble Scrubbie Pets. I like how you can wash and reuse them.
There is a lot of nice gifts here in this guide. I know my daughter is into those pillows that change she would love the Fairies soar pillow
I really like The Nightmare Before Christmas Operation Game. It looks like a game that my family would really like to play together.
