Do you get excited when you discover amazing new finds? That’s how we felt when we discovered Rodizio Grill at Hamilton Place in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

After a day of shopping, we saw Rodizio Grill at the edge of the mall and decided to try it out. When you try out a new place, I feel like you’re just hoping for the bare minimum- warm food that tastes okay. So when we’re blown away by the food at a place we decide to try, we can’t possibly keep it a secret. We want everyone to know where to go for the best meals.

 

What’s so special about Rodizio Grill?

Rodizio Grill is unlike many of the restaurants you’ve ever been to. It is the first authentic Brazilian Steakhouse in the United States. You can opt for unlimited salad bar, which is delicious and full of plenty of options, but for us the Full Rodizio is the only way to go! Full Rodizio includes the salad bar but the main focus is on the buffet of amazing entrées! What’s unique here is that each of the entrées tour the restaurant, making rounds to each table. One by one, a parade of grilled meats arrive at your table, ready to be sliced by the attendant.

The attendant stands in front of you with skewers or a slab of meat and inquires, “Tri-tip sirloin?” You tell him yes or no and when to stop cutting. If you’d like, you could have an entire plate full of ham and pineapple. It’s never-ending…unless of course, you flip your marker to red, which indicates that the servers will take a break and skip your table until you’re ready to start again. The Rodizio Grill model is SO fun! The way that kids feel when they see their favorite costumed characters in a parade? That’s how I feel when I see those skewers of Swaii fish coming towards me.

 

So it’s entertaining but it is good?

The answer is a resounding YES! Phenomenal even! After our very first visit, we looked at each other and had this conversation with barely any speaking (and mouths full) “Anniversary?” “Yes.” “Birthday?” “Yes.” We only reserve special occasions for the BEST places, that’s always been our tradition. They serve the Swaii fish with a red pepper and it’s just pure perfection. That’s coming from someone who is terribly picky about fish. Their ham, chicken, beef, everything is just so good! Let me not forget to mention that their rabanada dessert is my favorite of anything I’ve ever tried. It’s also very, very hard to still have room for dessert at this place!

Another cool thing is that Rodizio Grill at Hamilton Place actually changes things up! From Monday through Thursday, they serve cilantro lime shrimp. I’m dying to get over there on a weekday to give that a taste! They also do seasonal events like Bacon Fest or Rodizio on Fire which is January-February. Wild Game is served October-November where they have elk, venison, frog legs, and even rattlesnakes.

How’s the service?

Every single server at Rodizio Grill at Hamilton Place is the biggest sweetheart. I mentioned a love for the Swaii fish and a particular type of spicy chicken and someone went in the back to get more of it. I was also far too bold and ate a huge bite of something wrapped in jalapeño. My mouth was on fire and a waiter who wasn’t even assigned to us came over and suggested a piña colada (because it has milk!) to soften the blow. He brought it out to me and it fixed my issue almost immediately. I could taste again!

Everyone just constantly asks you what you want and how they can help, all the time. They’re all so kind and helpful. My husband had a cute little thing he said at our last date night: It takes a village to raise a child and at Rodizio Grill it’s like a village is there to take care of you.

The bottom line is that we love Rodizio Grill at Hamilton Place for every reason. Not only do I recommend eating here, I insist on it. I leave you with but one piece of advice–don’t wear a belt! It won’t fit by the end of your spectacular and filling meal!
