Bananas are probably my favorite fruit ever and that’s why I enjoy making so many little banana treats, like banana bread. This time, I wanted to focus on something that contained a bit fewer calories and maybe a boost of energy. These banana oat bites, depending on the size you choose to roll and the add-ins you include, come to around less than 40 calories each. For me, they stave off that sugar craving and I love the flavor, especially fresh from the oven. These three-ingredient banana oat cookies are simple and scrumptious, worth packing up for a trip hiking or on a picnic!
Ingredients:
2 mashed overripe bananas
1 cup oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, shredded coconut, nuts, raisins, flavored extract, or dried fruit
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
2. Slice and mash the bananas.
3. Add in the oats, cinnamon, and any add-ins you may be including. Stir them all together.
It just look like oatmeal for now!
4. Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet and drop rounded spoonfuls of your banana oat mix onto the paper.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Try them warm or store them in the fridge!
My daughter actually made my recipe with walnuts. Isn’t this so cute?!

I love how easy these are to make! I would add chocolate chips and pecans to my oat bites. Yum!
My kids love these! Should you refrigerate after cooking?
Thanks for asking! I always do refrigerate them, yes. But I do that with banana in it.
