A Cinderella Story: Starstruck Family Movie Review

Cinderella is a fairy tale passed down generation after generation. I always delight in hearing different versions of the tale, a variety of interesting twists in the plot. This coupled with the fact that I adore Bailee Madison meant that I was actually overjoyed to learn of A Cinderella Story: Starstruck. (Well, the farm aspect may have had a little bit to do with it too, for this homesteading girl!)

A Cinderella Story: Starstruck (PG-rated) is actually the sixth installment in the A Cinderella Story movie series but I think it may very well be my personal favorite. Finley Tremaine (played by Bailee Madison) is a small town farm girl aspiring to be an actress except her stepmother and stepsiblings are horrible (albeit hilarious). I don’t want to give too much away but she finally gets her big break after disguising as a cowboy named “Huck”.

The kids and I watched this movie together and we all found it so funny and sweet. The farm animals are adorable and the singing is beautiful! The banter between all of the characters made me laugh. “Stop saying fish fingers!” The plot was completely charming and we’ll definitely watch it again!

We also received a package of A Cinderella Story: Starstruck cookies from Little Sparks Cookies to paint and the girls loved it! We received a few cookies already painted to go with the characters in the movie but I’ll admit, I ate John Ham long before he made it to a photo. These cookies were delicious!

You can catch A Cinderella Story: Starstruck on DVD, digital, and it will be coming to HBO Max later this year.

  1. I haven’t watched this movie yet. I think my daughter would really enjoy it! She would probably love to decorate some cookies similar to that! What a fun idea.
