30 Days of Gratitude: Dreams

The third day of gratitude is dreams. I think I’ve got just about everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Actually, a grateful company owner of a review I’m working on with one of the blogs I contribute on sent me a gorgeous old lamp that immediately reminded me of the magic lamp in Aladdin. I smiled and as I sat and admired it, I wondered what I would ask a genie for and I couldn’t think of much that I don’t already have or foresee in my future already. My biggest dream was always to live a happy life. I wanted to go to and graduate from college and while that is still in the process, I don’t feel it as necessary to the big picture anymore. Birth has become such a passion for me that being a doula and helping women bring their children into the world is a new, and very attainable dream for me.

When I daydream, I dream more of the smaller things. I imagine the vacation to Florida that we have planned for next year, just the two of us. I dream of a clean house where everything is has a place with labels on it, of all the time in the world to craft things, of having my own blog be as big as those I contribute on. All of my dreams feel like I can achieve them, though, and I’m working on each and every one.

So after I pondered all of that, I thought…

Who needs a genie?
