I talk about being a mom often enough, I am The Crunchy Mom Next Door after all… but I’m also a mom to “fur babies”. I received the line of Paraben and EDTA-free products for my sweeties. This line consists of John Paul Pet Smooth Detangling Shampoo, Super Moist Shampoo, Awapoochi Shampoo with Shine Memory, and Awapoochi Conditioning Rinse with Shine Memory.

The John Paul Pet Super Moist Shampoo is formulated with Panthenol, aloe vera, and chamomile extracts to moisturize dry, dull coats. It was especially helpful for my Cottonball whose fur is often dry and almost brittle-feeling even immediately after a bath. She felt so much better and not even remotely dry after her John Paul Pet Super Moist Shampoo. You can see how soft she feels in the picture, even though she is very anti-picture and difficult to photograph!

Smooth Detangling Shampoo by John Paul Pet smooths and softens your pet’s fur, adding shine and getting rid of those pesky tangles. Both of my pets need this as Cotton will get knots on her ears and the longer hairs on the back of her legs and Woody has such long hair (he’s going for a hair cut soon!) that he can just get tangles all over his body! Brushing them post-bath was smooth sailing and I’m sure that they were both as thankful as I am for that!

John Paul Pet’s Awapoochi Shampoo with Shine Memory reactivates the shine in your pet’s coat and even several days after shampooing, all you have to do is brush their hair and it returns! This Hawaiian Awapuhi plant mixed with botanical blends creates this fabulous, long-lasting shine! This one smells ridiculously amazing and I could imagine mistaking it for my own shampoo and using it! Wishful thinking, maybe! The Awapoochi Conditioning Rinse has the same shine memory effect for your pup but I am one that finds conditioners essential so I would and will be coupling this with each shampoo that my pets receive.

Overall, I found that the entire line of John Paul Pet Paraben and EDTA-free products did a wonderful job on the pets and they all smelled relatively lovely. I was convinced that our last shampoo was actually “Wet Dog” scented, but with John Paul Pet, they feel like big cozy balls of fluff and they smell like Heaven! I have yet another reason to cuddle my sweeties! If my pets can get salon-grade care without the harsh chemicals, creating beautiful coats of fur, why would I even consider looking anywhere else?!
