There are so many deodorant options out there. You have the clear, gooey gel that makes my underarms feel cold and wet. Or there are the heavy white ones that crumble into little balls or leave marks all over my shirt. I was ready for a change…something with less chemical junk and more of a natural makeup. Truly’s Natural Deodorant is exactly that change I needed.
Truly’s Natural Deodorant is a safe, effective, long-lasting deodorant that is completely organic! It is made of organic coconut oil, powdered sugar, baking soda, and beeswax. It’s gentle for sensitive skin and kids, and free of alcohol, parabens, aluminum, and fragrance.
To apply Truly’s, you scoop out about a pea-sized amount of the deodorant and rub it on your armpit. It doesn’t feel gritty or slimy like some of the deodorants I’ve used. It doesn’t stain either so theoretically, you could just wipe your hand on your pants after you apply it but I’m, uh, not suggesting that. 😉 The no-staining is great because if you put it on and then change your shirt, you won’t have deodorant smeared down the side of your clean shirt.
After hours of wear, Truly’s Natural Deodorant was still going strong. Actually, I have a problem where I can step out of the shower freshly washed and my underarms still stink so I really need power and longevity. I noticed that it wasn’t completely without smell but instead a nice, subtle coconut smell if you’re sniffing it. I don’t regularly sniff my pits but I had to be thorough with my review, you know what I mean? It didn’t leave a gross residue or texture, either. On the contrary, I think Truly’s left my underarms feeling a bit softer!
Another issue I have with many deodorants is related to shaving. If I shave after wearing most deodorants that day, I end up with white stuff caked into my razor that I struggle to dig or wash out. I shaved within a couple of hours of putting on my Truly’s and the blade went across smoothly, almost as if I’d used a shaving cream or gel! Also, no razor burn that often can come afterward from all of the irritation of whatever is in your deodorant!
Overall, I would definitely recommend Truly’s Natural Deodorant. It gives you long lasting odor protection without the chemicals, skin irritation, and residue. It’s also pretty cool that it comes in BPA and PVC-free food safe containers so they’re good for the environment and you can even reuse them!
