BIC Takes You Back-to-School + GIVEAWAY!

review disclaimer

Writing is a favorite pastime of mine and I think that to be to really be successful with blogging, you have to truly enjoy it. I’ve loved writing ever since I can remember. I wrote poetry and my own little stories as a young child. It’s important to get your children interested in writing. Writing improves cognitive development and fine motor skills, plus so many other benefits. BIC is on a mission to share the importance of encouraging writing for our children. Last year, through its partnership with a non-profit organization, BIC provided 100,00 writing utensils for children in need in schools across the country. BIC (and I) encourage you to visit BICFightForYourWrite.com to learn more and sign a pledge to encourage writing. For every signature, BIC will donate more pens and pencils to students across the country!

For my now school-aged kidlets (I still can’t believe it!), we received BIC’s Xtra-Fun #2 Pencils, Xtra-Craze Mechanical Pencils, Brite Liner Erasable Highlighters, Cristal Stylus two-pack, and Atlantic Ultra Comfort Pen.

bic

The BIC Xtra-Fun #2 Pencils look really neat and I think it’s a great way to get younger kids interested in writing. They’re number two pencils with solid, break-resistant lead, and two-toned colors. The body of the pencil is one color and then the sharpened part is another. My kids seem to think that is the coolest thing ever and it certainly isn’t something we’ve seen on other pencils. Available in an eight-pack with a suggested retail price (SRP) of $2.99 and an 18-pack with a SRP of $5.99

BIC Xtra-Craze™ Mechanical Pencils have wild designs with thick, strong leads. It’s got #2 lead, doesn’t smudge, and erases easily so it’s even great for taking those little dot tests that go into the machine. Do you remember those? They were graded by such sensitive systems that they had to be number two pencils and if you used a bad pencil to erase, you ruined the entire thing. So yeah, these pencils look really neat and they’re a great quality to use for whatever you like! Available in a four-pack with a SRP of $3.29

I am all about this next one. This might be just me but too often, I would highlight an entire paragraph before I realized that I was probably highlighting way too much.  The BIC Brite Liner Erasable Highlighter is a highlighter with an erasing ink on the other end so that you can undo any highlights! Available in a three-pack with a SRP of $3.29

The BIC Cristal Stylus has a BIC Cristal pen on one side and a lightweight stylus on the other, for fingerprint-free use of your tablet or smartphone. It’s so much easier for me to use a stylus than my fingers as the screens seem to get tinier and tinier. It’s nice to have your pen and stylus in one spot, I’m all about the space-saving! Available in a black ink two-pack with a SRP of $4.99

New to the BIC Atlantis pens is the BIC Atlantis Ultra Comfort Pen with a different ink system for smoother ink. It’s got a soft silicone grip and comes in grey, pink, aqua, and blue barrels with blue or black ink. I love how smoothly it writes and I’ll be keeping this one for myself because I do a lot of note-taking and lists for my blog so I need nice writing utensils too! Available in a one-pack with a SRP of $3.99

  1. I write grocery lists, notes of things I read on my computer, invoices at work, checks to pay bills, and reminder notes.

  2. I jot everything down – I always have to have a pen and small notebook with me.
I write down grocery lists, chores, reminders, what I’d buy if I magically won a billion dollars, things like that. 😀
    thanks!

  3. I spend a lot of time writing grocery lists and to-do lists – I can’t remember anything anymore!! 🙂

  4. I have a terrible memory so I write everything! I constantly write notes to myself as reminders for things to do, people to call, things I need to look up, bills I need to pay, chores I need to do…etc. I write my grocery list as the needs come up. I write out my chores each day so I can cross them off as I get them done. I write down special events that happen and put them in a jar for my family to read and remember on New Years Eve… With out pen and paper, I would be one lost little Mommy.

  5. I am a teacher so I am always writing! I make lists, keep calendars updated for my family, write notes to parents and students, label everything- the list goes on and on! haha 🙂

  6. I do write some lists, grocery and otherwise, but most of my writing has to do with helping my family with various projects, such as keeping spread sheets for a business, etc.

  7. I keep a dream journal and have for almost 3 years now. I have about 3 dozen notebooks filled with my dreams. I really enjoy going back and reading them and sometimes remembering them all over again.

  8. I spend my time writing out lists-Grocery, menus, etc… Also I do pen palling as a hobby. I also write poetry!

  9. I spend a lot of time writing lists of things I have to get done. I also like to to write to my sisters and dad who live so far away.

  10. I write all day..every day it seems like. I have three boys under the age of 7 and they’re always asking me to write down sentences so they can copy them. ‘Momma! Write down ‘Five Nights at Freddy and Chica’s scary house…'” and so on and so on. But it’s fun!

  11. I spend time writing Meal Plans for the week and things that need to be fixed, replaced or repaired around the house, so most of the time its a Honey Do List!!

  12. I spend the most time writing letters to my kids telling them how much I love them and little notes then add them in their lunchboxes or bookbag since I was diagnostic with a medical condition everyday is a blessing and want to let them know how much I love them. Thanks for the chance!

  13. I write lots of letters…old fashioned letters that no one writes anymore…and I get so many positive remarks and feedback. It is not a lost art if you don’t allow it.

  14. I have lots of to do lists, and i write in my planner and also in a journel! <– THAT HELPS ALOT
