Baking is one of the coolest skills to teach children. There are two things you can count on in my house just about every day right now: board games and freshly baked goods. We started off with simple boxed cake mixes for the kids and they did a great job. I decided to graduate them to making things from scratch. My very first test was these peanut butter cookies that I’ve personally been making for years. This recipe requires ingredients that we pretty much always have in the house and it’s incredibly basic. Once they master this one, maybe they’re ready for banana bread!
It’s not just a recipe for kids though. I love this one for when I just have a craving for sweets and I want something quick and easy. These peanut butter cookies are an absolutely must to have at the ready! They’re delicious and simple, what more could you ask for?! Let us know what you think in the comments below!

I have been making these cookies for decades. They are so easy to make and my mom, who now lives with us, loves them! I add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. SOOO GOOD.
