Once again, SITS is helping me keep my blog going with their writing prompts. October is filled with fantastic things to write about (and my birthday!) so I’m looking forward to sharing with you all!
My favorite vegetarian recipe? Well, by definition, vegetarian means: of or relating to the exclusion of meat or other animal products. So, anything that doesn’t include meat can count as a vegetarian recipe despite the very “vegetable” look of the word. I love dessert, so naturally this is the first type of recipe I think about. One of my absolute favorite dessert, or snack, recipe is nice and basic and SO Fall.
Baked apples!
Several apples (I used around 7)
2 tsp cinnamon
1 c brown sugar
Dash of salt
Dash of nutme
Preheat oven to 375*. Peel, core, and slice apples.
Mix cinnamon and brown sugar in a plastic bag. Put the apple slices into the bag and shake to coat. (I started cutting the apples and realized our “Poison” decoration was right next to it and I decided it was perfect considering Halloween! 😉 I forgot to mention it when I first posted this because I was so exhausted!)
Bake for thirty minutes. CONSUME!
*You can add a little bit of lemon juice, sprinkle a crumble of flour and sugar over top, or my personal favorite, rolled oats. I love rolled oats! We were out of them today or else that’s what I would have put on mine. Baked apples taste great how they are or over top of ice cream.
This looks delicious!!! Super yummy!
This does look good, and we often get really good apples at the discount shelf at the supermarket.
