Ecocentric Mom’s Mom and Baby Box Review for Summer!

review disclaimer

It’s that time again…the Ecocentric Mom subscription box is here! In April, I wrote about my first Ecocentric Mom box and I am so excited to talk about them again! As a mom and a “crunchy” one at that, I’m really inclined to say that Ecocentric Mom is my favorite subscription box. I feel like I spend so much of mom-life researching products, asking around, and trying to figure out what’s best so it’s nice to just be able to try oodles of things personally all at once!

This Ecocentric Mom box was filled with a mix of products I’ve heard raved about and ones that were completely new to me, both made it really exciting to try out each one. Hopefully you’ll see at least a few things you’ll have to try out or even better, see exactly why I love Ecocentric Mom so much and order a subscription of your own!

Simply 7 Snacks

My friends have always raved about Simply 7 Snacks. Everyone told me how delicious they were but shockingly, I had never tried quinoa or hummus and was apprehensive. I know, you’re shocked that I could run a “crunchy” blog without trying quinoa and hummus, but I’ve always said that food was the area I’m still working on perfecting!

I need healthy food that tastes great and I am so ecstatic to say that not only did I love the taste of Simply 7 Snacks but my children did too! I ditched potato chips long ago but I won’t lie, I’ve missed having a crunchy snack around. Celery sticks and apples are tasty but it’s not the same, I don’t know how to explain it! Our Ecocentric Mom box included a bag of Simply 7 Snacks Quinoa Chips and Hummus Chips, both in Sea Salt flavor. They were simply fantastic and vegan, as well as GMO and Gluten-free! You can purchase all kinds and flavors of Simply 7 Snacks at simply7snacks.com.

Goddess Garden Organics Sunscreen

Samples of various types of Goddess Garden Organics Sunscreen were part of the last Ecocentric Mom box, but this time we got a 1 oz bottle of the Sunny Face sunscreen. It’s chemical-free, SPF 30, and water resistant for 30 minutes. I don’t know about you, but I need not to slather my sensitive skin with chemicals, especially my face. My sensitive skin would breakout in a heartbeat. I’ll admit that I’ve even forgone using sunscreen at times and as a sat itchy and red like a lobster with fleas, I regretted that decision. I’m glad for effective sunscreens that aren’t laden with chemicals. Great find, Ecocentric Mom! You can purchase sunscreen from Goddess Garden for $4.99 per 1 oz bottle or $14.99-17.99 for a 3.4 oz bottle.

Sing-Along Fun: Old MacDonald Had a Farm

My son loves the board books in the Ecocentric Mom box the most. We sat and sang to Old MacDonald over and over, with his tiny little “E-I-E-I-O”s echoing for each page. It’s so important to start reading at an early age and you can tell how much most kids enjoy it, even from the start! Sing-Along Fun: Old MacDonald Had a Farm can be purchased for $6.99 here.

NuturMe Protein-Packed Quinoa

Since we are expecting #5, I’m glad to know that our baby will be able to enjoy such a nutritional alternative to the usual rice that is so often used as a first food. It’s free of gluten, dairy, GMOs, and soy, organic, and contains so many essential plant-based nutrients for Baby’s development! Purchase NuturMe foods at nuturme.com.

Lillian Eve Nail Polish

I was really surprised to see a nail polish in our Ecocentric Mom box, and my girls were thrilled! It’s vegan, toxin-free, and made without animal testing! We received the color “Ballet Slipper”, which was my oldest daughter’s absolute favorite shade of pink. The girls give it five thumbs way up! Get a bottle of Lillian Eve for $12 at lillianeve.com.

Bella Organics Unscented Body Butter

Bella Organics Body Butter is organic and made with shea butter. It’s intended to protect and moisturize your skin, providing vitamins and nutrients too. Since it doesn’t contain water, but coconut oil, it has a thick texture and a small amount can give you a lot of coverage! I use a small smidge on my sunburn and along my growing belly and I love how soft it felt. My son insisted that I share some with him so I rubbed it along his hands and arms too. Bella Organics Body Butter makes your skin feel so soft and smooth, it’s wonderful! It’s $16.95 for a 4 oz container of Bella Organics Body Butter, but you can also purchase a sample just to try it!

Weleda Calendula Cream Bath

My oldest daughter has had eczema since birth and her skin is just as sensitive now as it was then. We have to be very careful with what we use. One of the things that’s actually been suggested to me was Weleda products, so I’m very glad to have received them in our Ecocentric Mom box! The Weleda Calendula Cream Bath is free of parabens, phthalates, and mineral oils. It’s intended to help prevent dry skin, which is something we find extremely useful! You just put a bit of the Weleda Calendula Cream Bath into the bath water and stir it around. Obviously, it’s geared towards babies and it was perfect for my little man, but I decided to let my older daughter try some in her bath and . She loved it. She can’t use many bath products so she was thrilled to have something with a [natural] fragrance that felt nice on her skin. Check out the many Weleda products available here.

I’m just as impressed with this Ecocentric Mom box as I was with our last one! I think that they really have the likes of their eco-friendly customers in mind and it’s so fun to see what goodies will be in each box!
