As a child, I was obsessed with the National Geographic books. I read them constantly and always did my reports on something I’d learned through one of the books and magazines. I’ll never forget about the giant crabs in the Tasmanian Sea, they were my favorite and at one point I think I ripped the page of out it and put it on my wall because I thought it was just so cool. Put Me in the Story has teamed up with National Geographic to create National Geographic Kids personalized books!
These books are as amazing and informative as any National Geographic book…except they contain your little one! My son and I are completely obsessed with dinosaurs, everything about them. We both have the same favorite dinosaur, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, of course. Don’t talk Velociraptors with me, bigger is fiercer! The National Geographic Little Kids Book of Dinosaurs takes your through prehistoric times with beautiful pictures and all kinds of facts. It is extremely kid-friendly, no dinosaur attacks or anything like that. The book is packed with all types of awesome genuine dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes, teaching about what kinds of things they eat and how big they were in comparison to people. You learn all types of wild things about these dinosaurs, even I find it incredibly interesting! Your child gets their own “dinosaur facts” at the end, complete with location and age, then the opportunity to draw themselves as a dinosaur!
The National Geographic Little Kids Book of Animals is a personalized guide full of some of the world’s most impressive creatures! Your child will learn about the animals’ diets, size, habitat, and other fun facts. Some of the animals you’ll encounter include polar bears, cheetahs, koalas, and tigers, but also unique animals like tree frogs and meerkats!
Both of these books are filled with gorgeous color photos and oodles of interesting facts. The books are of great quality, that’s one of the big reasons why I love Put Me in the Story so much. Each book comes in hardcover and paperback but because these books are such wonderful keepsakes, I like to spend the extra ten dollars and spring for a hardcover book. Either way, you’re going to end up with a happy kid!

Kids can never have too many books. They love to have their own personal library. This is the first time I have seen personalized National Geographic Kids books – very nice!
I have a special needs granddaughter about to turn 4. She LOVES books. She has a milk crate full of books and she just goes through them daily one at a time. I cannot imagine her delight if her name was included in one of her books!
I think national geographic books kids is a great way to teach kids about nature and animals. I will definitely look into purchasing it.
I loved reading children’s books as a young kiddo and want to pass on that love. I would have enjoyed seeing myself in a book so this is a fun idea.
