My younger sister is having her first baby soon, a little girl. I’m throwing her baby shower and I wanted to make some cute decorations. A diaper wreath is an adorable and functional option so I tried my hand at making one of my own. You can make a diaper wreath using rolled up diaper and baby products. I use cardboard I had on hand instead of actual wreath rings. It came out just as cute and I think it may have even been easier to do. It was relatively simple and I absolutely love how it came out!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Cardboard cut into a circle (I used diaper boxes)

Diapers

Ribbon

Baby products (I used a bottle, diaper cream, a stuffed animal, and a pacifier clip)

Directions:

1. Cut holes through your wreath circle, about 1.5 inches apart.

2. Cut your ribbon into strips, enough to wrap them around your rolled diaper with extra to tie them.

3. Put each ribbon strand through two holes.

4. Roll up a diaper and tuck each diaper underneath one ribbon.

5. Tie the ribbon in the back of the ring.

6. Once you’ve got all of your diapers on the wreath, start adding baby products!

I tied the baby products around ribbons that were attached to the diapers.

7. Glue a ribbon to the top center of your wreath so you can hang it. I used hot glue and a thicker ribbon. If you want to cover up the unsightly back, just cut another circle to glue over top of it (similar to what we do with the Mickey ears).

If you use a stuffed animal, you could tie it to the wreath or do what I did, make it peek through the ring! I used the little hook on its head to hold it in place. I also used my Cricut to make an ‘R’ (the baby’s initial) out of cardstock and used the pacifier clip to hold it up!
