People have been wearing sandals since like 1200 BC. It just makes sense. It’s a million degrees outside and your extremities cool you down, you want them to be able to breath. Nowadays, at least for us gals, the sandals are a little nicer than your average papyrus. I don’t know about you ladies, but I also need them to be full-on sandals rather than flip flops because I am clumsy. If you’ve been here before, you won’t be surprised that I turned to Secret Celebrity for my newest footwear!
Electra is a strappy sandal with a mighty snazzy name! I imagine that the bright and electrifying colors are where they get their rather fitting name. I chose a coral and gold combination but they also come in a shiny navy or black. These pretties have a fashionable wedge worth showing off, also perfect for that little extra height while wearing maxi dresses and skirts.
The straps on the Electra are thin and comfortable, offering that extra support you (I) need for walking around. The buckles are actually more like an S-hook but appear like regular buckles. The straps were a bit long for my little ankles after receiving my usual size, so I actually decided to size down a half size. That felt perfect and I’m actually glad I did because it gave my mom the opportunity to try out a pair too!
My mom has always loved my Secret Celebrity shoes and inquires about them every time I wear them. When she found my boxes of Electra, she was in love! She said, “These shoes are gorgeous, where did you get them?!” Of course, I answered, “Where I get all of my shoes now.” She tried them on and adored them so I said she could keep them. I think I made her day!
