As a kid, I enjoyed roaming through toy stores to see all of the things I’d like to get for myself. As an adult, I still like shopping for myself but I need a store that really gets my attention, something with a variety of useful and unique things. Indigo is a cultural department store filled with inspiring books, colorful, artsy pieces, and so many beautiful products that fit into just about every lifestyle. A new Indigo just opened at The Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey, becoming the first U.S. store for the Canadian retailer.
Indigo‘s gorgeous spring collection is helping me get my 2019 underway. I know it’s February but January was my free trial month, okay? Haha! Now, my resolutions aren’t massive unattainable things so I’m hoping to follow through with them not only to 2020 but for the rest of my life. So many people put together these incredible resolutions that require an entire life overhaul but me, I’m starting simple with things that I think will still have a huge impact on my life and I know I can stick with. This year, I will hydrate regularly and organize my writing.
My hydration goal, which is extremely important to several aspects of my health, is being helped with the S’well Water Bottle Geode Rose 25 oz, one of many pretty S’Well water bottles available from Indigo. What’s special about the S’well compared to other water bottles is that it can keep liquids cold for up to 24 hours (and hot for 12) and yes, it absolutely stays cold! Unlike other metal bottles I’ve tried, the S’well also doesn’t leave an odd metallic taste in my mouth and I’m guessing that’s because it’s made with a high-grade stainless steel. The triple-walled and vacuum insulated bottle not only keeps my water icy cold but it stops the bottle from sweating so I don’t have to worry about making a wet mess wherever I put the bottle down. The designs are so cool and I love this pastel, artistic looking Geode Rose one. I often buy cups and bottles to personalize them with decals but I didn’t want to mess with this one, it’s too cute!
To keep myself organized and inspired to write, I decided to try the bullet journaling that so many people are into right now. I got the Leuchtturm1917 The Official Bullet Journal in Emerald and started with a few basic layouts. The journal has page markers, an index, numbered pages, a pocket, and an elastic band to keep it closed. It’s extremely convenient for a first-time journaler! I’ll share more about that as I get further into my journaling adventure! My new journal and fancy water bottle make me feel so elegant and, well, inspired!
Indigo is the kind of eclectic store that brings joy to people. They’ve got style. I feel like stores like this are hard to come by right now. Indigo is the kind of store that you could roam around for hours and find all kinds of things that appeal to you. I would shop here to decorate my house (or a dorm!), gifts for a baby shower, or simply just to treat myself. Even the kids section is incredibly adorable! I’m impressed with the selection and I’m excited to check out the Indigo here in New Jersey!
Do you have any small resolutions for 2019?

My daughter works at the warehouse and got promoted fairly fast there… almost been two yrs since she moved to that province and she’s been a lead hand for well over a year. If you can ever get into the warehouse bag, sale, thats the one you want to get to…the last one, a week ago, she picked up a ps4, an ereader etc… she’s got a youtube channel if you’re interested in seeing what she can all get OR how to go about doing it lol
That is awesome! I’m new to it but I spent forever on the website just browsing all of the great products. I didn’t know they had warehouse sales.
This store looks awesome and a place I can spend a lot of time browsing! I didn’t really have any small resolutions. I make goals throughout the year instead of just once.
This store reminds me of IKEA. Where I can go and spend hours just browsing.
I’ve never been there before looks like a lot of nice places to shop though
