Easy Travel with Indigo Kids

disclosure product

We did it! We made it to Tennessee! Soon, I’ll get into how it’s going but for now, let me talk about the trek here. It was a TWELVE hour drive in my little rickety minivan. My biggest worry was how to appease the kids. I envisioned a long ride of Bart Simpson-esque “Are we there yet?” repetitions the entire time. Luckily, my son had his Indigo Kids backpack, Bento lunchbox, and water bottle all in the Dino Bones theme. Since travel season is upon us with the holidays approaching, I thought I’d share more about our Indigo gear!

Indigo is the world’s first cultural department store and only recently opened its first U.S. store in The Mall at Short Hills in Millburn, New Jersey. They’ve got all kinds incredible products of very good quality. Recently I’ve been eyeing up their holiday gifts, but my focus today is on my son’s Indigo Kids gear.

His backpack is sturdy and adorable but most appealing to him was the fact that it had dinosaur stuff on it and he could bring his own toys with him for the trip. He used his Bento lunchbox to pack his own little snack and I could tell how independent he felt as he was selecting all of the little treats to put inside. I like the way the box has flaps that seal the freshness in. He’s been using it for school lunches too and it’s been really easy to clean. At every stop along our trip, we filled up his water bottle. He dropped it a few times and it didn’t break, which was quite the relief.

Having his own travel gear definitely helped my son to complain less, making the entire trip feel a lot shorter. He was particularly excited to carry his big boy stuff with him as he climbed up into the moving truck to take his turn riding with Daddy. The quality of the products didn’t surprise me because I’ve shopped with Indigo at Short Hills before, but I’m always pleased to see just how fun and cute their items are.

With the holidays coming up, I have to recommend perusing Indigo, be it for travel or the latest gifts. Indigo does have gifts for just about everyone in your life, though I tend to be unable to avoid picking up at least a few things for myself!

Where will you be traveling this holiday season?
