When a surprise package arrives at the front door, I can only hope there is something edible and delicious inside. Lucky for me, there often is! Last week, a Jungle Beat: The Movie surprise package arrived with three amazingly decorated sugar cookies, an activity book, and a chocolately drizzled snack mix.

Jungle Beat: The Movie is a brand new movie about an alien that crash-lands near the African Jungle. I immediately loved how crazy and unique that premise sounds! Fneep, the alien, befriends the jungle animals who teach him and friendship and hugs. He names each one of the animals, like Munki the monkey and Trunk the elephant. But Fneep was supposed to conquer their world so how is that going to go over with his dad and fellow aliens? The animation on this movie is so pretty and well done. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and particularly the purple sparkling character of Fneep!

Our package included three character sugar cookies, Fneep, Munki, and Trunk. The kids had all the treats they needed but I decided that a banana milkshake was absolutely in order for this new movie celebration. We’ve really had to step up the excitement with at-home activities this year so I’m all about trying to make the experiences special!

My husband suggested a cookie milkshake so we decided to put our heads together and create Munki’s Milkshake! Munki’s Milkshake is a delicious banana chocolate chip cookie milkshake, named in honor of the fun monkey character in Jungle Beat: The Movie.

 

Ingredients

3 scoops vanilla ice cream

3 chocolate cookies of your favorite variety

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 bananas

Blender

 

Directions:

1. Scoop the ice cream into the blender.

2. Break each cookie in half and place them into the blender.

3. Pour in the milk.

4. Slice and add bananas.

5. Blend and pour! Garnish with a banana slice!

Each recipe makes about 1-2 servings, or a mason jar full!
