Halloween is an awesome holiday for our family. We’ve always done the whole themed dress up thing and we just get really into it. To get the kids in the Halloween mood, I love to show them movies and television shows that are on-theme without being terrifying. We’ve got our classics that we grew up with but one newer series that we all really enjoy watching together is Hotel Transylvania. It’s hilarious and adorable, not even remotely scary even to my toddler. My toddler has actually been asking for the Hotel Transylvania toys at the store lately because she thinks Mavis is so cool!

Needless to say, we follow and love all of the Hotel Transylvania series and saw Hotel Transylvania 3 as soon as it came out! Now that it’s coming out on video, we’re surely adding it to the list of must-watch films before Halloween! Loving father and vampire, Dracula, his daughter Mavis, her human husband, their son, and all of the family’s monster pals decide to take a break from the hotel Drac runs and take a luxury cruise. Imagine all of your typical activities on a cruise being done by creatures that are invisible or can fall apart. On top of that, Dracula falls in love with the ship’s captain but that might not be such a good thing! The movie is funny, totally kid-friendly, and perfect for your Halloween shenanigans!
