Sleek and Sharp, the Must-Have Lenovo YOGA 730 15-inch

disclosure product

The Lenovo YOGA 730 is such an amazing laptop that there’s really nothing left to get me for Christmas. My laptop is where all of my work takes place so I’m fairly particular about what I’ll use. (A competing brand’s laptop I returned to Best Buy last week can attest to that!) First of all, I need something that’s a bit sturdy and I’ve always been able to rely on Lenovo products for that. My husband uses a Lenovo Ideapad he’s in love with for his gaming and my favorite portable device has been the Yoga Book.

I needed something that would be good for home use as well as when we’re out so I was excited to discover that the Lenovo YOGA 730 15-inch can fold over to be a tablet too. If you pick up an Active Pen, you can use it to draw so smoothly on the screen that it’s as if you’ve taken an actual pen to paper. I’m no professional artist but I really enjoy drawing and was hoping to start creating some of my designs online freehand from scratch and this would really help! I also appreciate the fingerprint sign-in option because one of my kids likes to go on my laptop without asking.

The slim design of this laptop is insanely phenomenal and perfect for all of the traveling work and play we’ve got going on. It’s so lightweight (4.17 lbs. and measures 0.7″ thin to be specific). The laptop I had before this was so heavy that it was dropped more than once. Lightweight matters a lot to me due to the busy nature of our lifestyle right now. It fits into a little pocket in my bag but it’s not so small that my everyday work is too big for it. The screen size is absolutely perfect for me.

Speaking of the screen, I have to say that the 4k resolution makes the image as crisp as can be. If you stroll the aisles in an electronic store, you can immediately see the difference in pictures from one screen to the next and the YOGA 730 would surely stand out. The NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 4 GB graphics are gorgeous and supposed to be good for some light gaming, although I’m not much of a gamer so that’s not my area of expertise. I can definitely vouch for the fact that family photos uploaded to Facebook look sharp and perfect.

At my house, we’re always trying to move the screen in a thousand different directions to show each other something so I’m not going to lie, that’s part of why the last laptop we had broke. To say that we love the versatility of the Lenovo YOGA 730 is an understatement. I think it will genuinely help lead to a longer life for it. We need that kind of durability and transition in my family.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Lenovo YOGA 730 15-inch for busy parents, kids that have to do homework or play some games, or even grandparents who just want to see snapshots of their grandkids on social media. It’s thin, it’s easy and sharp, and the brand itself is trustworthy. I think it’s ideal for artists, bloggers, and social butterflies. I couldn’t boast enough on this amazing two-in-one laptop and have felt that way since I first began playing with it!

  1. Funny, my hubby and I are talking about leaving apple and moving to something else. This could just be it. I’m just a little nervous about learning a brand new OS…from your article, it seems that it will be pretty easy though.

  2. We have always used Apple but I like the sound of this as well. I’m not a huge fan of laptops because I have always struggled to use one. Lately though, I found the need to have one so that I can get on and work on my new blog more easily throughout the house. Thank you for sharing this and giving me a new option to look at.

  3. I’ve been an IBM fan for years, but love the Lenovo line of laptops. It’s my preferred laptop that I’ve been using ever since they take over. Lenovo rocks!

  4. I just invested in a new HP laptop for my blogging several months back. I wasn’t entirely picky, as I just needed something functional. Most of my blogging is done on my Mac, but sometimes I just want to lay in bed (like I am right now!) The Lenovo Yoga does sound like a great laptop though. When it comes time for another upgrade, I will look into the latest from them. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I am so not tech savvy but this review is great! I actually understand what you’re talking about… 😂 It sounds like a great laptop! Thanks for the information post!

  6. It does look like a great laptop for the new year. My laptop is a Lenovo and I love it. I’ve got to buy a new one soon and I’ll see if this one is similar to the one I have.

  7. Lenovo Yoga laptop looks great to me. I mean the ease of using it, the technical specifications are all in line with my expectations. Would consider it while buying a new one.

  8. I have yoga too and I love it. It’s my secondary, the one I take with me for trips and other outside work (like in co-working areas). I never regretted I ever got it

    1. I’ll admit that I leave mine charging all the time. My husband works in power so he’s always been knowledgeable about that stuff and he lectures me about leaving them plugged in!

  9. I think I love the name Yoga. Gives it a chill effect. I need a new one, but am not ready to take the plunge, but will consider this one.

  10. My laptop has been so used now that the letters are off of the keyboard. I am not adverse to trying a Lenova Yoga. I’m going to check out a best buy demo and see if I like it.

    1. It kind of varies on your power settings because I use it on the brightest setting (for some reason, I keep all of my devices that high and my eyes probably hate me for it!) and it lasts around 4 hours for me? But it charges very quickly also!

  11. That looks like a great device. We need to update our laptops and it would be nice to have this in our household. It looks like it has so many great features. And that screen – wow!

  12. i’m a huge Apple and Mac fan, but my husband has a Lenovo that i’m on right now! I need to get myself a laptop since mine broke, might have to look into this.

    1. Until this post, I had no idea how many people were! I don’t have many Apple things in my house, I’ve never been able to grasp them!

  13. Thanks for this… I am looking into buying a new laptop! And love reading reviews. I look for battery life, memory, size of screen, weight.

  14. I’m so glad you love your Lenovo. We’ve had terrible issues with Lenovo and their customer service. I look for a laptop that is light and fast! I love the idea of a 4K screen. I had no idea what this clarity meant until we got a 4K TV…wow!

  15. Ive been looking for a good laptop with a good size screen i need to look into the Lenovo thank you for shairng

  16. We need a new laptop so bad, I really appreciate your review of the Lenovo Yoga 730! I have a Yoga Book Tablet that I love so I’m definitely going to look into their laptops too!

  17. Wow! This looks awesome! I have a very old clunky laptop. It is SO heavy in my backpack and has a very short battery life. This would be so perfect for me, especially when traveling. It is the perfect screen size for me and lightweight, which is what I really need. Perfection!
